||United States : General Atomics subsidiary wins $349M U.S. Air Force Predator, Reaper UAS support contract
||General Atomics subsidiary has won a $349.1 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide support services for the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial systems.
As per the sole-source contract, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. will be responsible to supply program, configuration and inventory control point management, along with depot field, technical manual and software maintenance.
Additionally, the company will have to carry out logistics support, contractor field service representative services, flight operations assistance and depot repair in Poway, California, through Dec. 31, 2017.
At the time of the award, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center obligated $104.9 million from the military services fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds.
