||State implements Rs 28 crores sports projects to develop better infrastructure and logistic faciliti
||Projects worth Rs 28 crores are ongoing in the field of sports to develop better infrastructure and logistic facilities in the state.
This was announced at a high level meeting held under the Chairmanship of Minister for Youth Services & Sports, IT and Technical Education, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari in Jammu on Wednesday .
Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services & Sports, IT and Technical Education, Hilal Ahmad Parry, Secretary Sports Council, Javaid Ahmad Shah, Special Secretary YSS, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, Executive Engineers of Sports Council attended the meeting.
At the meeting the Minister was informed about the progress of ongoing projects of sports infrastructure in the state and it was said that out of 50 works 26 have been finished while as work is in full swing on 24 such works which include construction of new indoor stadium, pavilion at KK Hakku Hockey stadium, Kabaddi ground in Jammu division and development of play fields at Nanil Bijbehara, Hakbara, Qamarwari in Kashmir division.
The minister was also told that three additional projects coming at a cost of Rs 8 crore are moving ahead in Rajouri and Poonch districts under special package program.
