Summary : The Swiss WorldCargo centre in Zurich has once again confirmed its status as the leading airport in handling pharmaceutical shipments: Switzerlands regulatory and supervisory authority for pharmaceuticals and medical products, Swissmedic, renewed the handling areas compliance certification of Cargologic in September 2017.

Swiss WorldCargos handling partner of was one of the first to meet the needs of GDP certification (Good Distribution Practice) in 2014, and to win IATAs Center of Excellence for Independent Validators CEIV certification for the processing of pharmaceutical products in 2015.

The last two years have seen Swiss WorldCargo investing massively and, in cooperation with the handling partners, adjusting the standards to the best practice model worldwide.

A network of certified trade routes is being introduced to guarantee the highest quality standards across the world and to maintain product integrity along the whole cold chain.

By the end of this year, around 50 quality corridors are to be developed for the major pharmaceutical destinations.
