||China : BCEGI holds Ground breaking ceremony on Logistics Center
||Beijing Construction Engineering Group International (BCEGI) announced that it has held a ground-breaking cremony on a logistics facility at Airport City Manchester.
As a part of 1 billion Alpha project, the US$15 million logistics center estimated to drive project cargo demand as well as providing longer term breakbulk capacity in the area.
Xing Yan, managing director at BCEGI said, Weve reached a crucial stage at the project and were now on-site getting on with construction at Alpha. We are seeing high levels of interest in Alpha from firms keen to take advantage of the exceptional transport and business connectivity on offer here.
The Alpha project covers 130,000 square foot area and will connect with Manchester Airports World Freight Terminal, which handles 100,000 tonnes of cargo per year.
