Summary : Aramex is in plans to divest its Sydney-based MailCall Couriers to Australia Posts StarTrack Courier.

MailCall deals in offering three different courier services, to include standard, VIP and red hot. At present, the express courier company has nearly 7,000 active customers from various industries. The company has under operations a fleet of around 250 couriers, including vehicles ranging from pushbikes to 6T trucks.

Additionally, Aramex and Australia Post have decided to establish a new joint-venture (JV) targeting the global e-commerce market, mainly focusing on Asia. The new JV plans to purchase Australia Post's StarTrack International global e-commerce postal solutions business.

Australia Post will be offering last mile delivery services in Australia for parcel volumes generated by the JV.

Aramex CEO Hussein Hachem said, "We are delighted to announce this joint venture with Australia Post, and we look forward to combining our resources and expertise to build a compelling global e-commerce delivery platform."

Australia Post group CEO and managing director Ahmed Fahour said, "This alliance with Aramex will help us grow the Australian e-commerce market, capturing more inbound e-commerce parcel volumes and will provide a platform for outbound growth, particularly for Australian small businesses."
