||China : China aviation projects worth $16 bln open to private investment
||China has announced a list of 28 civil aviation projects worth around 110 billion yuan ($16 billion), now open to private investment.
Released by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the National Development and Reform Commission, the projects on the list included airports, freight logistics, aircraft maintenance, aviation rescue, UAV logistics distribution, and navigation technology. The projects covered fixed asset investment, the research and development of new technology, and enterprise mixed ownership reform.
According to a CAAC official, this development would optimize the investment structure in the civil aviation sector, stimulate market vitality, and accelerate research and development in science and technology.
With an aim to attract private investment as part of efforts to make the sector more globally competitive, authorities plan to release a second batch of civil aviation projects.
