||Azerbaijan : DBA group inks deal with Baku International Sea Trade Port to provide architecture and engineering services for the new Port of Baku in Alat
||The DBA group has inked a deal with Baku International Sea Trade Port to supply architecture and engineering services for the new Port of Baku in Alat. Additionally, this deal includes the supply of IT solutions and management systems for the new ports terminal operations.
Formal announcement of the agreement was done during the IV Intergovernmental Bilateral Commission for Italy - Azerbaijan Economic Cooperation held in Rome on June 13, 216 at the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
As per the agreement, DBA Group will be designing and supervising the construction works of the new Passenger Terminal Building in Alyat. DBAs Slovenian subsidiary will be developing a Port Management Information System (PMIS) platform to optimise logistic processes and terminal operations in Port of Baku.
This mainly aims at automating daily operations activities at the port and make shipping goods along the new Silk Road connecting China and India to Europe more efficient and attractive as compared to traditional routes. For DBA Group these two contracts are total worth around 2m.
