||India,Sri Lanka : SRI LANKA: EXPO FREIGHT announced key appointments to fortify its management squad
||Expo Freight (EFL), the top Sri Lankan global provider of freight forwarding solutions, has made an announcement on the appointment of top executives to the firms Colombo-based Head Office.
The company has elevated COO S. Senthilnathan, who joined the Expo Group in 1996, to the post of CEO and ex-DSV Regional Director Peter M Larsen, a Danish national, has been given the responsibility of COO.
Mr. Senthilnathan is the co-founder of EFL's unit in India and has been instrumental in the formation of the Indian operation. He has played a major role for the last two decades to help the company become a leading freight services provider in the Indian market, facilitating it to race against the well-known local and international logistics firm in an aggressive way.
Mr. Senthilnathan was appointed as the COO of the company in the year 2012. Since then, he has been involved to set up operational procedures to ensure efficiency and his role in customer acquisition, group strategy and business expansion has been immense.
Mr. Larsen joins EFL with more than four decades of logistics industry experience. He had worked with a number of globally acclaimed logistics companies across the regions of Europe, the Middle East. He had served DSV A/S, the number four logistics services provider of the globe, for two decades. Just recently, he was serving DSV as the Regional Director Middle East, Sub Continent and Africa, where his role in revitalizing the company's operations in South Africa and United Arab Emirates has been hugely recognized.
Commenting on this latest assignment, Mr. Larsen stated, "I'm looking forward to what I'm sure will be a very rewarding relationship with the company and our clients."
He further said, "The global logistics industry increasingly has to play a balancing act, keeping on top of changing customer trends while still maintaining service quality and standards. Hanif and his team have aggressively expanded the company's reach globally and I look forward to leveraging this to strengthen EFL's reputation as a leading supply chain solutions provider."
On the new appointments, the Founder/President of EFL and Group CEO of Expolanka Holdings PLC Mr. Hanif Yusoof has stated that both the key appointments form parts of an current strategy to fortify and consolidate EFL's footprint in major marketplaces and facilitate the company reach the next level of growth and development.
EFL began its business as a freight forwarding operation from Sri Lanka 34 years back. Since then it has expanded to 20 countries across the globe to serve several of the leading international fashion and retail brands. EFLs revenue has already touched the US$ 400 million figure.
