||India : Kae-Capital invests in WOTU
||Early investment company, Kae-Capital has announced an investment in a platform, called 'We Organise The Unorganised' (WOTU), that directly connects farmers, processors and manufacturers with the last-mile F&B outlets like restaurants, hotels and others.
Vidushi Kamani, venture partner, Kae Capital said, "In terms of deal size, at this stage, the company is adequately capitalised for its next phase of growth."
According to market sources, the deal is worth between $0.5 million and $1 million.
Established in 2015 by two former PayPal employees, Dhruv Sawhney and Mihir Mehta, WOTU, is a one-stop-shop solution for all procurement needs of B2B customers: hotels, restaurants, pubs, cafes, caterers and retailers.
The platform allows deep supply chain consolidation with farmers and processors, a robust technology platform, a vast product range, a warehousing facility and platform-integrated logistic capabilities.
The Ahmedabad-based startup says that WOTU platform removes the need of a middle man and bridges the gap between the source and their B2B customers.
